There are number of ways to start running, from simply going out your front door and walking/running for 10-15 minutes, turning around and going back home again in the same manner, to joining a club. You will find that all clubs will welcome new members and most will have a beginners programme. If you don't fancy anything as formal as a club, then you could follow the Couch to 5K course or maybe search for a local RunTogetherr group.
