On Sunday July 21st, we look forward to welcoming your county to The 2019 U17 8-Counties Inter County Match - hosted by Essex - at The Chelmsford Sport and Athletic Centre , Melbourne Park, Salerno Way, Chelmsford, Essex CM1 2EH.
The  stadium is approx 1.5 miles north west of the City centre and is signposted by brown tourist signs to the Sports Centre / Football stadium. Drivers should be alert to 
the 30 mph speed cameras in the City which  are operative.
The stadium has a large car park for cars and coaches ( free ),  changing facilities, and toilets inside the Centre and around the track. Covered stands are on the home and back straights.
Electronic timing and EDM equipment will be used. The equipment weigh -in room is situated behind and under the  main stand at the  200 metre mark . 
Starting  blocks are provided . Medics will be in attendance .
The meeting starts at 10.30am with the Men’s Hammer & Women’s Shot.
The timetable (containing rules of competition) and deceleration sheets are attached.
Team declarations should be sent by close of play Friday 19th July to our match Recorder  - Rob Hewes on    Changes naturally will be permitted on the day.  
On the day, Rob will be situated in the recorders hut at the end of the home straight. He will post results on notice boards, and give points announcements during the afternoon. Non scoring numbers may be collected from Rob when declarations are confirmed.
The refreshment hut will hopefully be open for hot and cold drinks , crisps,  chocolates,  fruit etc, and the burger van will hopefully be in attendance, for burgers, chips & teas etc. The close by shops include a  Coop, a  fish /chip shop  and a small  cafe.
If visiting counties plan to bring any officials to the match, please let Diane Wooller know before the date and indicate officials grade so duties may be pre -allocated.
Any visiting officials should register in at the officials room upstairs in the Centre for coffee , lunch packs and briefing by Chiefs- and the issue of field event record cards
