Be our hero and dress as your hero to run, walk, fly or time travel around historic Castle Park in Colchester!

Our second annual fundraising event on Sunday 18th March is set to be great fun for families, film fans and comic book buffs alike. Whether you’re a fan of Star Wars or Marvel, Lord of the Rings or Frozen – this one is for you! 

Every penny you raise in sponsorship will help us to help local people with an incurable illness to live well and die with dignity and choice. Andrew Lally, a lover of all things sci-fi, understands the importance of hospice care – his mum, Christine, was diagnosed with Pancreatic and Rectal Cancer in 2012 and given 12 months to live.

Andrew said: “The hospice seemed to reach in and fix something in the heart of our family to help all of us cope and that was the beautiful thing. Something that every human being deserves at the end of their life is that ability to relax, to not be afraid or scared.” Read Andrew’s story.

10k open to anyone age 16 and over
5k open to anyone age 5 years and over*
1k open to all* (age 4 and under go free!)
Plus 1k buggy dash

Please note:
The 10k and 5k routes are not suitable for wheelchair users. The 1k takes place on footpaths..
*Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times during the run.

Registration opens at 10am
10k starts at 11am
5k starts at 11.20am
1k and buggy dash starts at 11.40am
