After a hiatus in 2020 we are pleased to welcome you back to the next running of the Leigh-on-Sea Striders 10km Race.  The 2023 event on the new course takes in three separate loops of the best Leigh-on-Sea has to offer for runners and visitors to the area to enjoy the local surroundings. By headtorch, because, to add a little more uniqueness our race is held after sunset. Starting at 6pm, what better way to enjoy a Sunday evening (and you get Monday to rest too!). Headtorches are mandatory and can be pre-purchased through Leigh-on-Sea Striders or our partners RunActive.

To ensure an accurate run time for everyone we will have chip timing and of course the wonderful support and marshals that make our event one of the best small races around. Oh, and let’s not forget the Prosecco at the finish.

After 11 years of running this event, we are taking a more sustainable approach and among many other aspects, our unique medals will be invisible; instead, we have something a little more useable for everyone who crosses the line, as well as prizes for all category winners.

Lastly, the LoSS 10k has, and always will be run to support local charities and we have raised well over £30k for some very worthy causes. This year we are delighted to be supporting two charities very close to our hearts, CRY - Cardiac Risk in the Young & Southend Hospital Trust - Oncology & Stroke Dept.
