Blackwater Half-Marathon, Marathon & Ultra Marathon

Half marathon, Marathon & Ultra Marathon distances - all race distances start in the County town of Chelmsford, following the canal path by the side of the picturesque Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation. The half-marathon distance finishes in the beautiful village of Heybridge Basin where the canal meets the sea, separated only by a single lock. The marathon & ultra marathon distances carry on round the pretty coastal path through Goldhanger, taking in the protected saltwater marshes, with the marathon finishing in the Tollesbury fishing village. Those of you taking on the Ultra-distance enjoy the coastal path once more to return to Heybridge Basin for your well-earned medal and perhaps a beer in one of the local hostelries.
