Running Events in Essex

 

Please ensure you read all of the key information below before you enter. In particular - you must be either Essex or Eastern eligible to compete at the championships, we do not allow guest entries at this event. All entries are final - no refunds will be processed. Any questions regarding availability of events or eligibility please contact the organiser.

 

Roster shows a DRAFT timetable which we reserve the right to update at any point up to and including the date of the competition. The final timetable will be determined by the number of entrants in each event. It is your responsibility as a competitor to check the final timetable before the competition starts and no athlete will be allowed to compete if they turn up late or at the wrong time for their event. The organiser will merge age categories for field events with low entrance numbers.

 

You must be eligible to compete at the Essex and Eastern Championships - please fill out the questionnaire on entering to confirm which championship you are entering. Please note the questionnaire is looking for the COUNTY you are affiliated to not country, club or any other information. For Essex this means you must have been born or have continually resided in Essex for the nine months prior to the event, and for Eastern you must have been born or have continually resided in the East Region (Essex, Herts, Lincs, Beds, Cambs, Suffolk, Norfolk) for the nine months prior to the event. You cannot compete for more than one County / Region within a competitive year. If you are unsure if you are eligible then please check with the organiser first. Please note - athletes are only able to enter 3 events in a day. The minimum standard for triple jump entry is 7m because of the board setting at Lee Valley. Please do not enter if you are unable to meet this. Starting blocks may be used in heats and finals by under 20 and senior athletes and by under 17, under 15 and under 13 athletes in finals only. Registration closes on the 10th February at 23:59, after which time no further entries will be possible. All entries are final and no refunds will be offered if you enter and cannot then compete. Please note if you resign your entry on Roster you will be unable to re-enter yourself so if you make a mistake or have a problem please contact the organiser rather than just resign your entry. We are aware that Roster places some people U17/U18 in the wrong age group - please do not worry - these will all be corrected before the competition. This event can only go ahead with the support and help of volunteers so if you are help to officiate or help in an ancillary role (registration / runner etc) then please contact the organiser.

 

All entrants shall be deemed to have made him/herself familiar with, and agree to be bound by the UKA Anti-Doping Rules and to submit to the authority of UK Anti-Doping in the application and enforcement of the Anti-Doping Rules. The UKA Anti-Doping Rules apply to entrants participating in the sport of Athletics, for 12 months from the date of your entry, whether or not the entrant is a citizen of, or resident in, the UK.
